The Chatham Community Garden could be a great way to get into vegetable / fruit gardening without investing in a garden at your own home, if you live in Chatham, NJ It is located at 87 Woodland Road and offers two different plot sizes. Full-sized plots, (10 ft x 10 ft) are $35 and half-sized plots are (5 ft x 10 ft) are $18. In addition to the monetary commitment, depending on your plot size, you are required to volunteer for a certain amount of time at the garden. It would be 6 hours for a full-sized plot and 3 hours for a half-sized plot. You also must comply with the rules of the garden.
